Dr. Ali Hussain Kazim is the Inaugural Director of Automotive Engineering Centre at University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He received his B.Sc. & M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering degrees from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He is a Fulbright scholar and has earned Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, United States of America.

 The focus of his research group is to develop power from high temperature sources using Thermophotovolatic and low temperature sources using Flow Thermo-electrochemical cell.

Further the research group investigate method to mitigate global warming by developing biofuels and modeling solar radiation management.

 He has presented his research work in various international conferences/symposia across North America and Europe. Further, he is an author of various peer-reviewed impact factor journal publications and has a cumulative impact factor of more than 80. His current research interests include heat transfer, energy conversion and desalination.

He has an association with various entities including Pakistan Engineering Council, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Materials Research Society and Electrochemical Society.
