Dr. Ali Hussain Kazim received his B.Sc. & M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering degrees from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He is a Fulbright scholar and has earned Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, United States of America. He previosuly served as the Inaugural Director of Auotmoive Engineering Centre (AEC) at University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. Currently he is serving as an Associate Professor at AEC.
During his term as Director AEC, he and his team established Board of Studies, Post Graduate Research Committee, Industrial Advisory Board, Pakistan’ first PhD in Automotive Engineering, Pakistan’s First Automotive Engineering Congress and Exposition (AUTOCONEX) to maximize our outreach, Automotive Consulting Services. He served in the Governor’s Punjab Initiative on smog prevention, served as a technical expert in the Judicial water commission, served in technical committee of launch of the first 27 EV buses in Lahore, served in EV Bike scheme for university students and 2-year accreditation from Pakistan Engineering Council. Introduced a yearly calendar having monthly co and extra-curricular activities for student development

The focus of his research group is to develop power from high temperature sources using Thermophotovolatic and low temperature sources using Flow Thermo-electrochemical cell.
Further the reserch group investigate method to mitgate global warming by developing biofuels and modeling solar radiaiton management.
He has presented his research work in various international conferences/symposia across North America and Europe. Further, he is an author of various peer-reviewed impact factor journal publications and has a cumulative impact factor of more than 50. His current research interests include heat transfer, energy conversion and desalination.
He has an association with various entities including Pakistan Engineering Council, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Materials Research Society and Electrochemical Society.
